Ride The River II: Reaching out to the Nations Within,  July 2011

We recommend this movie:

See it, buy it, share it!

Ride The River II: Reaching out to the Nations Within

. . They are obliged to halt and rest frequently for a few minute. At every halt these poor fellow tumble down and are so much fortiegued that many of them are asleep in an instant. In short their fatiegues are incredible; some are limping from the soreness of their feet, others faint and unable to stand for a few minutes, with heat and fatiegue, yet no one complains. All go with cheerfulness . . .” (William Clark at Great Falls, MT, June 23, 1805)

Ride the River II was supposed to be a 100 mile trip across the Lower Brule and Crow Creek Sioux Indian Reservations, but extreme temperatures cut the journey short at 8.8 miles. Heat Index was in excess of 105F. Wind was SSE at 15 MPH gusting to 24. Pictures and video are on on Facebook. Will re-do the fund-raising ride in the near future on MN State Trails.

I know I ride to a different pace. Do you hear the call I hear? Contact me if you would like more information.

Wednesday Morning Ride and Devotions, Isanti, MN

St. Brendan's will be holding a "Rendezvous at Rendezvous" every Wednesday morning.  We will meet at 8:00 AM each Wednesday for a time of devotion and prayer. During June, the meetings will be at Rendezvous Coffee, on Co. Rd. 5  in Isanti. How you get there, and how far you ride are up to you, but the devotions will start at 8:00 AM.

Update: The meetings will continue every Wednesday morning, even though it is too dark to ride in at 7:30, and soon it will snow. We are using Graham Cooke's "Way of the Warrior" series for our study.
