me if you would like more information. Wednesday Morning Ride and Devotions, Isanti, MN St. Brendan's will be holding a "Rendezvous at Rendezvous" every Wednesday morning. We will meet at 8:00 AM each Wednesday for a time of devotion and prayer. During June, the meetings will be at Rendezvous Coffee, on Co. Rd. 5 in Isanti. How you get there, and how far you ride are up to you, but the devotions will start at 8:00 AM. Update: The meetings will continue every Wednesday morning, even though it is too dark to ride in at 7:30, and soon it will snow. We are using Graham Cooke's "Way of the Warrior" series for our study. Ride the River III 2012 "To the Ends of the Earth" to raise funds for Hope House Men's Ministry on the Yankton Sioux Reservation
Tentative start date: July 22, 2012 Start location: Isanti, MN, Ride start: Pickstown, SD, Ride finish: Choteau Creek, near Greenwood, SD (OR Ride start: Yankton, SD, Ride finish: Pierre, SD, depending on interest) Mileage: Approximately 40 miles (Or 260 miles, optional) Elevation change/terrain: Paved highways. Substantial elevation gain/loss from PIckston to Greenwood. Road
characteristics: Surface: 100% paved, some patch areas, hard dirt, BIA roadways are course gravel paving. Traffic level: low to moderate on Hwy. 46, Light on other roads. Services: Grocery store: Wagner, Pickstown (Limited) Water stops: Fort Randall Visitor Center, Pickstown Convenience Store, St. Pauls Catholic Mission in Marty. team member is responsible for the following items: Bikes:
suitable for long distance riding & capable of carrying a rack-pack
or handle bar bag. Bike
equipment:
rack-pack or handle bar bag, tire patch kit, water bottles (min. of 2),
hydration pack (optional), day pack (optional), route maps (will be provided),
compass and GPS (optional, but must have a compass if you have a GPS) Clothing:
bike shorts (2 pr.), helmet (mandatory), breathable jersey or shirts (2),
suitable footwear for on & off bike, socks (2 pr), biking gloves, sunglasses
(eye protection), rain jacket (rain pants optional), pants/skirt/shorts for
ministry day and church. Personal items: Glasses (extra pair advisable); sunglasses; sunscreen; any medications; Bible; journal & pens; camera; personal music device (mp3 player) for down time; spending money for personal use & offerings; cell phone (for emergencies only); unbreakable plate, bowl, cup & utensils; towel & washcloth; soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, other personal hygiene items; small gifts to leave with friends you make along the way or on the reservation.
